ALASA serves the University of Houston Master of Arts in Arts Leadership (MAAL) community by providing student, professional, and personal development opportunities, and empowering each other to become better arts leaders.

Vision Statement

Nurture the academic and professional value of our program, create a fun and inclusive environment, support career growth and be active leaders in the Houston arts community.

Core Values

As arts leaders we value Community, Learning, Inclusion, Responsibility, and Creativity.

Members

To be a member of ALASA, one must be a student or alumni of the University of Houston’s Arts Leadership M.A.

“Arts Leadership helped me understand that my career doesn’t have to fit into a neat box. I can be an educator, an advocate, a program designer, and an artist all at once.”
